Regions Rise Together 2020 Takes Next Steps in Salinas Valley and North San Joaquin Valley

Efforts to understand the economic challenges and assets of California’s diverse regions has become even more vital during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2019, Regions Rise Together was launched by the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research (OPR) in partnership with California Forward and our California Stewardship Network.

The effort continues in 2020 with strategy sessions focused on inclusive regional planning as a centerpiece of the economic recovery to develop high-road economic development and a more sustainable economy.  Read More

Governing for Racial Equity: California's Capitol Collaborative on Race and Equity

Racial inequities are evident across every indicator of well-being. From life expectancy, to health, education, income, and neighborhood design – race matters. In order to advance racial equity, the California Strategic Growth Council is working in collaboration with the Public Health Institute to support the Capitol Collaborative on Race & Equity (CCORE) – a racial equity capacity-building program for California State employees.
